Enhances Childhood Adventures
This high quality box of adventurous fun was the perfect gift for my outdoorsy 4, very soon to be 5, niece. The vest has a nice zipper. Pockets are ample for the accessories. The net has a telescopic handle.

My son was the MAN that day!!!!
February is Black History Month, and in celebrating that, the schools rolled out a Wax Museum Assignment. My four-year-old son, with ADHD, asked to be a capybara, his favorite animal today. We landed on an entomologist, Charles Henry Turner the first black to be exact. He loved the idea and a speech prepared and all. To bring his character to life, we ordered the kit. The kit came with all the essential items: a hat, vest, knapsack filled with binoculars, a net, and plastic insects. The vest and hat fit him perfectly; his teacher and classmate thought he was the cutest Antman in the building. For the price, it was a great value. The design was comfortable to wear and easy to use and store in his cubby after the event. The knapsack had the capacity to store all of the items neatly.

Good value if proactive.
My 7yo daughter loved this gift. It is cheap and the quality reflects that. The bag is useless and I ended up getting her a real hiking bag to go with it.We also he’d a problem with the binoculars where the end caps fell off (see photo). There is a lens that is held in by those end caps. The binoculars work great, until that lens is missing. Luckily I was able to find the lens and place it back. I ended up gluing those end caps back on with shoe goo, which seemed to be the most appropriate thing I had on-hand.Many of the components work just fine despite their low quality. Unfortunately, that includes that annoying whistle. The bug net falls apart sometimes, but it screws back together and I consider that a good chance for my daughter to learn about pre-trip inspections (in trucker lingo), or PCI’s (in Army jargon).Bottom line? Just go ahead and break those binocular lens caps off and glue them back on. Maybe consider getting a new bag for it all, then consider those upgrades to an already good value.

Fun little kit for kids
Everything has been fun in this kit for our 3yo daughter. She is enjoying outdoor adventures with this kit so far. Nothing has broken yet.

Fun little kit.
As durable as a pile of plastic can be, cute watching the kids explore and play though.I picked the blue kit because it was a birthday gift for my son. All the little ones enjoyed it. The vest is washable fabric and has survived several cleanings now. The bug vacuum is fully functional and I'll admit I've enjoyed using it to catch spiders around the house. Unfortunately the battery quit charging but I think it was left outside so take care of it... pretty good. Worth the money. Great for outdoor exploring in the spring and summer.

Broken Items & Typos
We just opened this set to discover the binocular string is broken and unwearable, the lens to the bug habitat won’t stay on, and the bug book has a typo (my child found it immediately). Also, the hat is too small, yet the vest is roomy. We purchased for dress up day at school (zoo keeper), so unfortunately we don’t have time to return it. On a positive note, it includes a lot of toys, so it’s fun and will get played with this week. However, they are cheaply made & won’t last. We already bent the tweezers on the first use. My kid doesn’t seem to mind though, she moved on to the next accessory. There are better sets out there for the money, and I would have been embarrassed if I was giving it to someone. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

I highly recommend this for kids who enjoy nature or for a little outdoor homeschool science class.
This is an excellent product. We got it for my three year old son who is quite advanced intellectually but also enjoys throwing toys every now and then so finding things that can withstand him and also engage him is difficult. The magnifying glass works quite well for a child's toy and has been thrown across our house several times and is barely scratched. The lens is extremely durable and sturdy. It was also powerful enough for us to be able to light something on fire for our homeschool lesson. The vest fits well on my son although it is a little long as he is only three. It has a lot of pockets which is great for fitting all the gear that comes with it as well as extra stuff. It works incredibly well as an adventure vest for nature walks. The binoculars adjust and aren't extremely powerful but work well for children. They are also quite sturdy and, it functions well enough to explain perspective as well as makes for a cool kids toy. My son loves hunting and isn't gentle enough to use our expensive binoculars so this is a great substitute. It helps him feel like he's more involved.I'm not a fan of whistles generally. This one is loud and honestly annoying but it works VERY well. This would be great if you were out camping for your child to wear in case they got lost or needed help they could blow it. It is also quite sturdy. There is also a light that he really enjoys playing with because it makes a fun revving sound when you charge the battery up. It works well as a fidget toy for kids as well as a little light that they can't leave on. My son is constantly leaving flashlights on and killing the batteries so this is a God send! All of the components associated with this product have been tested rigorously by my 3 year old for over a month and have not even come close to breaking. I highly recommend this for kids who enjoy nature or for a little outdoor homeschool science class. It would be better suited for kids a little older than my son because some of the projects you can do with it would be better understood by older kids. However, younger kids can still enjoy it.
