But! There's a but... What's your cats weight?
Pro's:This thing is just lovely. The pads are SO incredibly soft and can be taken out to clean. It looks just as beautiful in real time as it does in the photo. Really easy directions. Had no trouble at all putting it together. Very stable when cats jumped from various locations onto it. The base is pretty darned sturdy compared to most others I've found. This is definitely much higher quality then most cat trees.Con's:As another poster mentioned the pads are a bit slippery and you might want to buy a few more velcro strips. I did and it's much better now. Velcro is dirt cheap and and this was an easy fix so I'm not removing any points for that. I bought this tree based on the review by one poster who stated her 15 pound cat does just fine with it. We have three cats two of which are Bengals. One Bengal is 15 pounds and the other is 17 pounds. Our much smaller short hair fits just fine. The 15 pound kitty tried jumping from one surface close by to the top level and hit her head (tumbling and hitting her head again on the way down) because the opening was too close/tight for her. Then she tried again but this time just walked up the steps to the top. Then she tried to snuggle into the alcove but she doesn't fit. The 17 pound one noped out without even trying. It IS very spacious but if you have a large cat i'd be cautious about buying this without talking to the manufacturer first to clarify the maxiumum weight a kitty can be and still fit in the alcove. We're keeping the tree because the smallest kitty just loves it and fits fine.Plus, it is so attractive it makes any room it's in look even more beautiful.

Had to adjust for safety
The fur pads on the plateaus only each had two velcro strips stapled down to hold the pads, and they were not positioned very well which caused the pads to slip out from under my cat as she stepped down and she fell. I contacted the company for assistance to make it safe to use and they told me to buy more velcro. So I did and superglued more velcro and it’s better now but a bit silly that the company wouldn’t at least provide more velcro as a courtesy to ensure their product is safe, especially for how expensive this was.

Cats love it
They both love this. They go crazy on the scratchers, but love to stand on top of it and go to town on the rattan like nest. They love the multiple levels and actually use it more than their other tower because it is so soft.

Looks nice but scratching posts go unused.
I've bought a few pieces from this brand, and I typically enjoy their look and function. I bought this piece as a replacement to one of the previous Petpal trees, which my cat loved, but unfortunately the scratching posts use a different material. My cat won't use these scratching posts and is now scratching my couches, something he hasn't done in years. This is a really expensive tree if it only serves as a bed every now and then. If your cat likes sisal rope scratching posts, I wouldn't buy this one.

Loved by both me and the cat
The media could not be loaded. Love this cat stand. Well built and classier looking than the standard carpet covered stand. My cat is a fan, as well, even though he wants to crawl on top instead of just hanging out in bed or platforms.

Too many issues at this price point
The design of the tree is really nice. However, I think the price is too high for how many QC issues there are. Two of the holes in the platforms were missing thread for the posts, the top part is missing Velcro so the bed slides out of the perch, the beds for the middle two perches are way smaller than in the pictures, and the posts are not completely wrapped with the sisal leaving ugly gaps at the bottoms. And correction: the rope is made of what is essentially paper, so you can imagine how durable that is (and I don’t see any mention of the rope being made of paper on the page).
