Best Dad-Gum Splined Footpeg Adapters I've Ever Done Seent.
Pros:Chrome is very chiney.Splines lock footboards at desired angle. No missing parts.Direct fit on my '03 VTX 1800sSturdy and haven't rattled around or rattled loose.Makes wife happy, feel cared for, and allows you to keep your bike.Cons:Anyone with a tiny bit of mechanical know-how can install easy. But if you're brain is tired from a day's work, watch a video first.Make sure your allen-head/key set is up to snuff. I'm pretty sure it's metric allen sizes, but one of the screw holders which holds the adapter steady, is a very small sized allen key. I should've given you the size, but I just bought one of those nice kits with standard and metric and all sorts of sizes.... I guess it would've been nice and easy for Kuryakyn to just throw in a couple cheap keys... Then again, maybe this is a pro, because you can add even more tools to your drawers and tell the wife it's for her? Win/win.Overall:So at first, I was a little aggrivated with the included instructions. They didn't seem to be explanitory enough on whether I needed the both screw-holders, screwed in. Also, it was a little annoying that they didn't use the same size allen-key on both screws. I had to run down to the hardware store to grab a smaller size. I mean, for that trouble, they should include a couple cheap allen-keys like everyone else does with self-assembly kits. Lastly, I was overall impressed in the durability and quality of the parts. In the end, I had taken apart and put back-together the floorboards and splined adapters at least 3 times on the first side. I had to get my head wrapped around how they worked together. The hardware was sturdy and strong and didn't strip or feel any looser after the tightening, loosening, adjusting, and re-tightening process my silly mind went through. The 2nd side went so much easier after I knew what I was doing.
