Counting Peg Board - Montessori Math and Numbers for Kids - Wooden Math Manipulatives Materials

As a preschool Montessori teacher I find this to be a good addition in my classroom.

I looked for quite a while for a counting peg board here and finally bought this one. I'm so happy I did! The craftsmanship is outstanding. All of the holes for the pegs are perfectly drilled and smooth to the touch. The pegs that came with it are small enough for little hands, but not so small I worry about them being unsafe. What really sets this set apart from others for me is that the purple numbers are easy to read and contrast nicely with the natural wood; and I like that the wooden number cards are all the same size (some of the other sets I considered had bigger cards for bigger numbers). The cards all store nicely in a wooden tray and the pegs in a canvas bag (both included). My kids immediately took to this set and started filling in the pegs. They also enjoyed lining up the numbers from 1-10 and moving back and forth along the number line (another reason I like them being the same size). I highly recommend this set to those looking for a Montessori counting peg board.

I bought this as a "special game" for my 3yr to continue practicing numbers. I love that it allows number practice and motor skill practice simultaneously. As an educator myself, I can be really picky about educational toys. This one has many uses and will continue to be useful as my child grows into school aged as well. The word is sturdy, colors are vibrant, and it is well made.
