We are excellent at installing all manner of items onto walls. This item with it's two keyholes on the back should have been secure on the wall. The problem is that when you go to remove a knife from it the whole base lifts up from the wall to about 45 degrees or more which is not ok. No amount of fiddling with that changed that issue and I can't imagine what would happen after a few months of use. Also, the surface scratches ***extremely*** easily. Just in the time it took to test it out and try and fix the lifting issue it looks awful and cheap because of all the scratches. There has to be a better alternative. Thank god returns are easy on Amazon!

This piece was delivered with a banged up edge. For such heft in weight, it was not packaged very well and I’m not surprised that ours had a smashed corner. Additionally, wood filler has been used in multiple spots and it doesn’t match the wood or stain color very well. Lastly, the stain on ours is a fair amount lighter than what’s pictured here in the advertisements. This product would be 5 stars if it was for its apparent lack of quality control.

Mine came with a small dent on the side but it was heavily discounted and the dent can be easily covered with my knives so I can’t complain. I’m adding a picture of how it looks and another of the dent.The magnet is really strong and it can hold most objects, the only one I had small issues with is with the honing tool, so I just hang it the other way around

This wouldn't even hold my smallest of Wustoff knives without them slipping off. So disappointing. Especially after putting 2 huge holes in my wall.

Bought 2 to get all my knives out of a drawer! Glad I did! I set up 2 stations for different types of knives. Love the wood finish!

LOVE IT!!! Very good looking in person. Strong magnet. Easy to install. Don’t hesitate to buy. This one is a winner. I will probably get another one!

Pro: Looks very nice with a strong magnet.Con: The metal pieces on the back where the screw head goes is very poorly attached. Had one pop off causing knifes to fall. Had to reinforce it to the wood with glue.
