Better Homes and Gardens Autumn Lane Windsor Chairs, Set of 2, White and Natural

Perfect to go with my new round kitchen table in my kitchen nook. Very countryish, and nice. (Week later) I am adding an adendum. I wrote the review after putting 2 chairs together. I actually bought 4. When I opened the second box I put the next chair together but when I reached for the last one it was broken. The seat is split down the middle. I contacted the company but they told me I would have to take the chair I put together apart and return both chairs before they would send me another. I am not going to take the chair apart after all the work of putting it together. I wrote to them, but they will not answer me now. Not happy with the seller company's policy. Very uncaring about the customer. Still not resolved.

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to even put the chairs my wife ordered online, together. The only difference I did besides the listed directions is to add a little wood glue on the pieces. If you read the directions and put the right screws in the right holes, it’s impossible to get dimples up through the seat of the chair. Tighten tightly, and follow directions, and this chair is sturdy enough for my 240 lbs, and doesn’t wobble at all. If you can’t read directions and expect a $50 chair to perform like a $250 chair, you ought to hit the furniture store! I didn’t pay much, and didn’t expect much, but was pleasantly surprised with these chairs.

These are great sturdy chairs, a nearly identical replacement to something I bought about 25 years ago & needed to be replaced. They were fairly easy to assemble, but I did make a purchase of some wood glue as one of the chair dowels kept falling out. They look great with the fold-down table. I have to add that the photo of the chairs is slightly different than the chairs I actually received. The photo shows neweling on the chair legs while the chair legs I received were completely plain. I was mildly disappointed but I guess this is what to expect at the low price.

I purchased these chairs for my mother. I have NO complaints regarding the seller! It's the manufacturer that has me frustrated. The quality of these chairs is so-so. The parts were assembled poorly at the factory. The legs were uneven because of how they were assembled. I got one chair assembled after struggling to get the screws in with the allen wrench that was provided. It stripped every screw and the screws were not even tight! I couldn't get this chair apart now even if I had to!!! Then when I went to put the second chair together, I found that they sent the wrong part! I called their customer service to get the part I needed. They informed me that because I bought through a 3rd party, it was not covered under warranty and they could not send the needed part to assemble the second chair! I explained that it says right on their instructions not to return it if there is a problem and to contact them, which I was doing. Again, I was told that if I really wanted the part that I needed to contact the seller. If I got it from the manufacturer, I would need to pay for the part and the shipping to get it!!! I refused. Very frustrated and disappointed that the manufacturing company has put THEIR mistake in the hands of the seller! I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

It is like the front legs of these chairs are too short. We put risers on the front legs. That helped one but not the other. when you sit in one of these chairs, it feels like you are falling forward. It puts an uncomfortable pressure on your legs. Not well made, I'm afraid.

Chairs were easy to assemble but one of the four chairs arrived with a huge crack right down the seat . I’ve sent multiple messages to Amazon and the company to get the chair replaced . The only reply is I must wait 48 hours for a reply. It’s been two weeks and I am pissed . These were a gift for my mothers 80th birthday . Stay away , don’t buy these .

The 2 chairs I received were not as pictured. They are completely white, instead of white/oak as the photo shows; and there is no contour to the chair legs (they are plain). They seem sturdy enough. The assembly tool provided with the chairs is a toy, and not strong enough for the assembly job. I don't love them, but for what I paid, I will not bother trying to return. They're not what I ordered, but they'll do. You'll need a better tool (5/32 hex wrench) to assemble.
