A Guide to Graphic Print Production

It's pretty good if your study subject is about printing. Granted, printing is not a fancy field much less with monitors around, but anyone who wants to have a general grasp of printing processes should take a look at this book. I got it as a rental for a class, but it turned out to be so useful and rich in information that I went ahead and actually bought a copy for my personal library. Never know where one will end up working.

I was pleased to see the level of technical depth, and the amount of detail the authors put into this book. This is a very viable textbook for the undergraduate or graduate level Graphic Communications curriculum.

just what I needed - too bad I'm too lazy to read the darn thing - chock full of excellent and applicable information

I got mine used and the only thing wrong with it was a coffee stain on the back cover which I don't really care about. The pages in the book are pretty much pristine and it came quickly for my classes.Edit: So I found out the coffee stain is actually supposed to be there. Like the designers put it there to mess with people. I found this out because all my classmates all had yhe same coffee stain on their books. I was bamboozled.

Easy to understand

The information provided in the book is good, but the book is great if you have insomnia. It is straight and to the point and downright sleep inducing. May I recommend taking a lot notes while reading to you engaged while reading?

This book which I was looking for a long time ago simply satisfied all my expectations around clear main concepts and process around graphic print production. From the history of PC's, color systems, pre-press management and post-press alternatives, with a helpful explanation we can understand perfectly the whole world of this amazing industry.For the future we hope translations in another languages, and of course more tips about how to implement a cost estimation program. Anyway, I recommend this books for graphic designers and for any professional interested in this industry.

The book is so beautiful and expensive too . Why there is no protection for that price ? It came damage a little bite. Graphic designers pay attention to the book cover, the details because we love books . So please protect our loved books buy on Amazon.
