Toshiba TY-WSB1200D 3.1 Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar with Wireless subwoofer

Would have liked deeper bass.

Nice looking sound Bar but the sound often goes out I may have to find a new sound Bar not happy.

The setup was really easy with my eARC-enabled TV, and I was pleased that the smart TV's remote seamlessly controlled the sound on the soundbar, but the subwoofer left a lot to be desired. Even at the loudest setting, it just didn't deliver. The remote control does not offer independent control of the subwoofer audio. We eventually went with a Samsung T650 that did, and also offered various audio themes, such as movie, music, sports, etc.

First, let me say that I think the reviews for this unit so far have under-rated the unit. Or maybe I am having an unexpected wonderful experience with this sound bar and sub because I paired it with a Toshiba 50" Fire TV edition ( part number 50C350KU ), and both units have eARC, and after changing a few settings under "Sound Output", this thing just works unexpectedly well choosing the best dolby available from whatever streaming service I have tried so far.I didn't expect this to work half as well as it does. It's kind of amazing really. It's not quite as good as the 5 year old 6.2 system I have in my rec room, but that cost thousands, and this works really, really well.Negatives: There is a slight latency lag if you move the bluetooth sub very far from the TV. This has been true for every bluetooth sub I have ever tried, though, and it's not half as bad as some of them. I corrected this by placing the sub behind the TV, problem solved. I am way too sensitive to latency issues.One thing I did not like about the description here on Amazon is that it does not provide accurate dimensions of the two units, and you would never have known that this thing is eARC from the description, and that's important if you intend to control both the soundbar and TV with the TV remote and want good dolby sound quality.As for the dimensions. The sub is a down-firing, rear ported subwoofer that pairs easily with the soundbar. It's the thing that gives the package most of the weight too.I would say that if you are planning on pairing this with one of the new 2021 Toshiba Fire TV editions with eARC, you can't go wrong. Amazing quality for the price.Now let's see how long it lasts. I have a smaller, older Toshiba fire tv edition in my bedroom, and it has held up these last 3 years with only requiring a couple hard , power down reboots over the years.If this new system works that well, it's money well spent.PS. FedEx killed the first 50C350KU in the box, but BestBuy refunded me, and they had one in stock at my local BestBuy, so got a working TV that way. The soundbar was packed a lot better, and much harder to break :) So no worries with carrier shipping there.
