Built very well and functions perfeclty
This adapter works great...it is being used at it's full 5amp "max" load with no overheating and that's saying a lot for a $10 power adapter this adapter clearly has very good tolerances and that alone is a good selling point but it's also built very well and actually includes the ac cord wich is apparently to much to expect from these lower priced power adapters this is the third brand iv had to try for my MSI 32 in monitor and now I have come across one that is exactly as good as its listing description and I will defenetly keep this brand Inmind in the future

Great product! Although unit originally failed, supplier backed product & sent replacement.
UPDATE 12/12/2018: New unit the supplier provided has been working fantastically! I am upgrading the rating to 5stars for excellent customer service and the supplier standing behind a faulty product.UPDATE 6/14/2018: The supplier contacted me and sent me a replacement unit. It is currently working but the other one only lasted lasted 52days so I am boosting only the rating to 3stars (only for the supplier standing behind the product) while the new unit has time to prove that it actually works. I will provide another update in 60 days.Original Review: Purchased on April 13 and it failed on June 5th.

No ground wire in cord
Had ordered 2 of Supernight power supply units.1 was a replacement for a defaulty unit in the kitchen. Not sure name brand, but it had been on for 3 plus years. The second one I was using for a new project where I had to cut the supply cord, so I could fish it threw an opening.Once cut I had noticed no ground wire going from outlet plug to power supply. Although it has a ground plug to the wall and to supply unit.I have yet to check the other 1 to see if it has a ground or not.Overlooking the fault with the plug cord, the supply unit has been working flawless.Supernight has reached out to me.Will order from them again.

New $16 power adapter saves $200+
My Philips kitchen "under counter" 7"TV/DVD/Radio went pop while I was away when a heavy thunder storm occurred. I did not attempt to contact Philips's customer service(been there before)so I looked around for a complete new unit. The shops didn't have any in stock, so I thought I would unbolt the unit from the counter shelf and take a look. It had a separate 100-200vac to 12vdc power adapter. On measuring the output of the adapter it was useless, producing about one volt with a ragged ac component. Purchased from Amazon the "New 100V - 240V To DC 12V 5A Switching Power Supply Adapter For LED strip by Yorktek" who promptly delivered it. It worked fine and I bolted my 7"TV/DVD/Radio back under the counter. Excellent.Adrian in Florida

Buyer Beware
Bought 2 of these through "Amazon Warehouse Deals" to go with some Supernight 16ft 5050 waterproof LED strip lights. They were supposed to be used but functioning Supernight branded power adapters but instead look like cheap knockoffs. They have similar markings including "Model W-T5000" but no "Supernight" on the back. On the front the "QC PASS" box is black instead of white on the product picture. One adapter came with a 3 prong plug (note the picture shows a two prong plug), it worked fine for about 5 minutes then made a loud pop and stopped working. Then the plastic casing basically fell apart as if it had been previously broken open maybe by the last customer who returned this item. Sure enough part of the board had burn marks on it. I opened it further and found that a large capacitor had exploded and fluid was all over the inside of the casing! The second adapter had a two prong plug but instead of having the piece that connects to the adapter it was just bare stripped wires! I decided to take my chances and try using the plug from the dead adapter on this second one and predictably it didn't work right. The LED lights came on but were dim and sort of flashing seemingly not getting enough power. To test that the problem was in fact with the adapters and not the LED strips I tried an additional set and got the same results. Then I was able to find an old 12v power adapter I had around the house from an external hard drive. Though it was only rated for 2A instead of 6A as the LED controller lists it worked perfectly, even well enough to light two 16ft LED strips connected to just the one adapter.I knew these adapters were cheap and I was willing to take some risk that they would not be perfect, but this was absurd. I have contacted Amazon customer service and not yet heard back, but will update my review after they respond. I will also try to post some pictures and video of what I have described in this review.**UPDATE - 10/29/13**Amazon customer service responded promptly with a full refund and offer to pay for one day shipping of replacements from another seller. Here's to hoping I get the right item this time and that it is functional.
