Connects segments only
This pliers works good if all you want to do is connect Loc-Line hose segments. If you want to attach a Y-adapter or other fitting then forget about it; it's useless. Also doesn't separate pieces which I already knew.Much better solution..... Place socket end of piece you want to connect in near boiling water for 30 sec. Will slip right on when warm. Just don't burn your fingers!!!!

Simply will not work
This is one of the most useless tools I have ever used. I tried to use this on 3/4” loc-line and out of 12 attempts it worked once. Looked at you tube vids on this to see if i was doing it wrong. Nope. Tool is too flexible. The reinforced plastic is too soft. If the tool was made of steel it would work much better. Truly not worth the effort.

Doesn't work as well as the smaller versions
I've purchased all three sizes of these pliers for a big gooseneck-building project. This 3/4" tool is considerably harder to use than the smaller two. The size of the larger side of the plier (visible in the photo) keeps it from fitting correctly around any loc-line component other than the basic, straight links, so the tool is completely useless for Y connectors, for example, or any other parts other than the straight-line hose pieces. I did get some use out of the tool, clamping straight hose together, but since I had to recruit a helper with crazy-strong hands for everything else, the pliers were a lousy investment. If you need to snap together long stretches of straight hose, by all means drop the $13 or so; otherwise it's a waste.

Does not separate parts, feels weak.
I was disappointed with this product. My expectation was that it would make joining *and* separating much easier. It works so-so joining standard segments, but can not separate them at all. It also has difficulty with joining other connectors (I'm only trying it with connectors that properly fit the jaws). The product feels flimsy during use, and is worthless for taking apart the segments, which is a major reason I purchased it in the first place. A metal version would probably work, but would still need some better leverage.

Not as good as I had hoped
Didn't work as well as I had hoped. The loc-line product line of parts are not always easy to assemble for a underwater camera strobe extension. I was told you could assemble by hand with a little elbow grease. When that did not work I bought two of these pliers (different sizes) which did make it easier if applied correctly. Unfortunately it was not always obvious the appropriate orientation and sizing to assemble the joints. So I broke my strobe extension joint because I had the wrong size or did it incorrectly. I returned both plier sizes (3/4 and 1/4). In skilled hands this may be a good choice. It was not simple for me plus I would have had to travel with two pairs of pliers to put my cameras together. More trouble than it was worth.
