German quality for real. Well worth it. I recommend
German quality! Amazing. Sturdy and sharp. The cut through my thick nails with ease. They are so well built compared to the junk I used to buy at Walmart. I’m sure these will last forever. Considering the quality, the price is very fair. I completely recommend.

You get what you pay for!
As I've gotten older I've really started to hate trimming my toenails. It finally occurred to me that, while I am no longer as lithe and limber as I once was, mmmmmaybe the fact I'm still using the same drugstore clipper I bought in 1985 has something to do with it. I own a nice set of Trim clippers, too, but the fingernail ones always felt too small and the larger toenail ones (both straight and curved) seemed to clamp on to the nail but not cut through cleanly. I always wound up with lopsided nails on my big toes or a snag on one corner where the nail split from being peeled instead of having been snipped through. They were finished in shiny chrome, too, which is tricky to hang on to if you're somewhere slightly humid. (In, say, a bathroom, where- nutty as it sounds- I tend to take care of such grooming tasks.) I stumbled upon a consumer site where an article was comparing toenail clippers. At first I thought it was kind of amusing that such things were the source of such scrutiny. About ten minutes later I wasn't laughing and had the FINOX in my Amazon cart. Well, they're TOOLS aren't they? Doesn't having the right tool for the job make everything easier? Yes and yes. These clippers are easy to hang on to both due to their comfortable shape and the matte finish. There is no struggle to apply enough force on the handle to make a cut. And they CUT. Not just bite or grab and hold the nail but CLEANLY INCISE. No more shaggy nail edges! (I happen to like the curved shape of the cutting edge; if you want a "straight across" clipper these might not be the model for you.) I found them easy to use on both fingernails (I have large hands) and toenails. These are the not inexpensive but they are worth the price. To echo other reviewers, these will probably be the last clippers I'll ever need to buy. The FINOX are the best I've ever used, hands (and feet) down.

Costs twice as much but TEN TIMES BETTER.
These things are great. Solid. Sharp. Cuts the nail instead of breaking it off from crushing. Got this and the crystal nail file and my nails are shorter than I have ever gotten them. Wish I would have known about these when I was an LMT and my nails grew super fast.

Why does this nail cutter squeak when cutting nails?
Received the product today 9/O2/26. Cut my nails for the first time and it worked very smoothly and cut much better than my less expensive clipper I have been using. It appears to be excellent German quality precisionmanufacturing. My only complaint is why does it squeak every time I press the lever down to cut a nail. I would think it shouldn’t do this.

Very well made clippers and worth the $$.
I would rate these at a strong ‘5 stars plus’ because these are undoubtably the best clippers I’ve ever purchased. Sturdy and sharp yet precise enough for close nail trims. The accompanying leather case is also of obvious good quality. I am completely satisfied with the way these clippers perform. There are also an additional range of other manicure and pedicure products available. While they are priced higher than other brands of clippers, I can say the accuracy and ease of using these clippers makes them worth the price.

These are trash!
These clippers were a big disappointment Of German quality. These are smashers not clippers. I wasted good money on buying these and will now have to search and try to find some that will actually clip if any exist!

Splendid!
Splendid! Worth every cent. I am old. I hate how NEW problems appear in our modern life amongst all the technology and the plenty and the wonders. Until the last couple of decades, I had lived half a century and don't think I ever picked up a nail clipper that failed to give a satisfying, sharp "click" sound and "click" feel as it cut the nail with precision that I took for granted. Time was when you would buy perfectly good clippers off of a cardboard display for 25 cents. Nail cutting is not something that I used to think much about so exactly when the mushiness crept in, I can't say. Maybe I was like a frog being boiled in water slowly rising in temperature. But finally I did notice, and mushy is exactly the word. I threw a pair of clippers in the trash in disgust and rooted around in a drawer or two and pulled out another pair. Same thing! More like mashing than cutting. Bloody awful. I probably found a half dozen clippers around the house (25 cents a pop) and none of them did a decent job. I started searching the drug stores and bought lots of clippers priced from a buck or so up to seven or eight dollars. All of them pretty crummy; the cheapest often being the best. I bought several pairs on Amazon with no better luck. My obsession and frustration grew and grew. A few days ago I was again browsing Amazon's offering and saw the pricey Finox. I jumped all over it. I am a good Amazon customer and don't return much relative to what I buy, but I was sure as heck going to return these expensive clippers if they didn't perform like a precision tool. No worry. The satisfying "click" is back. Lov'em! I will say that I was surprised at how large this clipper is. No problem, though, I am easily able to do fine work on my fingers to keep my nails quite short. (Strange as it may seem, another modern problem for me with most clippers has been that somehow I was not even able to fit them to my fingers for close cuttings. It was not size, it was angles. No problem with these. No problem at all.)

Disappointed
I had high hopes for these fingernail clippers because I have the toenail clippers. The toenail clippers are absolutely perfect. The quality control of these fingernail clippers is lacking. There isn’t enough space between the cutting edges. I struggled trying to trim my pinky nail. It is literally impossible to trim my thumb nails. I guess it’s a toss up on whether or not you’ll get a good product.
