Its alright
I have used Sonax Spray and Seal for 5 years now and it is by far my favorite spray sealant product ive ever used, however, with their recent price increases i wanted to try something else. This is okay, it leaves quite a bit of streaks though even on a cool vehicle washed outside of the sun or heat. Most noticeable on black cars, and it does not play well with cars that have any form of other sealant or protection on it. I dont know that i will be buying this again, but if you only use this when you wash your car once a month or every couple weeks, im sure this would be fine for you.

For paint - not quite. For rims - sure!
Based on the price of this product, I'd say that it's most well-suited for wheels and metal parts as application and rinsing is easily done on those areas. To use this on paint, you need no sun so the product won't dry into the paint - leaving spots and streaks; no wind so the expensive product doesn't mist away - or coat other panels; and don't think about doing this on a grade or slope - this will further carry the product down horizontal panels, facilitating an even more sloppy finish. As a paint sealant; this product, revolutionary as it is (the instant surface tension change on the paint was quite amazing!), is a bit too finicky and costly to replace a traditional wax, sealant, or proper ceramic coating - in my opinion. As for this purpose, a rating of 3-stars stands until the formula is improved upon (which I hope it will be as this stuff shows potential, I think). However, for wheels, exhaust tips, and other generally neglected areas, this product is quite perfect and I can foresee it lasting for several applications. Just do have the spray bottle in one hand and your water source in the other. Zero seconds dwell time is the key, it seems. For this purpose, 5-stars.

This is not cheap but is a fantastic product that saves a lot of time. The results are great
The wheels on my car are forever getting covered with brake dust. The brake dust will corrode the painted wheels if allowed to stay on, so cleaning them is a must-do, AND done fairly quickly after getting brake dust on them. But these wheels are a hassle to clean- not so easy because of their design. Hydro2 is a sealant that gets diluted / mixed with water, sprayed onto the wheels, then kind of forced onto the wheel with a power washer or strong stream from a garden hose. Once it's applied to the wheel, the wheel is "coated" and will allow for an easy touchless cleaning. After I sealed the wheels with this, to clean them, I only need to spray on a wheel cleaner (careful which you use) and then hose it off. Wipe off the excess, and blow the wheels dry with a leaf blower. This is a fantastic product and saves a lot of time. I enjoy cleaning and detailing my cars, but fussing with the wheels is a drag. My only complaint is that the Hydro2 is really expensive (that's why 4 stars not 5 stars) and you only get 100 ml. In my estimate that's enough to do 2 sets of wheels. The results are great.

Awesome stuff but a tad pricey
I must say that I'm very impressed with how easy and effective Hydro2 is. It really was as simple as spray on, hose off. The effects could immediately be seen. Water beaded very nicely and sheeted off beautifully. I used an electric leaf blower to dry the car and water came right off. Really hoping this stuff holds up for the advertised lifespan because it could be my new to go for wax/sealant.However, my only complaint is with the price. You get 100ml (3.3 ounces) for a little more than the price of 16oz of Collinite 845 which is what I used before. 845 definitely can last up to 6 months and you get more than one use out of the bottle. The 100ml bottle was barely enough to do my Ford Fiesta ST. I'd recommend getting a bigger bottle if you're trying to do a whole car or dilute it 4:1.

Good product, with some reservations
This is a compelling product, but it is made for a very niche consumer. For this to make sense for you, you have to (1) have access to perfect conditions for application--no sun, no breeze, not too hot, not too humid; (2) have paint that is perfectly clean and prepped; (3) not mind spending top dollar on a sealant; but (4) not want to spend the time to apply a traditional sealant. It seems like this would be perfect for a non-mobile pro or an enthusiast with his own wash bay. But in anything other than perfect conditions, you're going to encounter product drift in breezes (which is wasting a $$ product and will drift onto panels that you aren't trying to work on). I also encountered significant streaking at the recommended 1 part product to 3 part distilled water dilution when I applied on a hot and humid day, but out of the sun. I had better luck at 1:7 dilution, though unclear how this will affect longevity.I will continue to use this to seal my wheels as it does a great job sealing hard to reach areas. I don't know if I will continue using it for my paint.
