Do all the guards start to rattle after cutting water bottles or just my messer and all the cs messers on YouTube?

The rattling is a feature that related back to the old days of Messer combat. An opponent would hear the rattling and be stunned into silence from the resemblence to rattling bones. But really, I've never had mine rattle. I've even hit the wooden dowel rod a couple times and still no problem. Try some locktite around the guard.

Is this a real cold steel product?

To my knowledge, this is a real cold steel sword. Having said that, this sword falls in a niche. It is a glorified machete...very thin, light blade...don't get me wrong, it is very nice, but I haven't found a place or use for it yet.

Yes, it is reasonably sharp. It's lighter than it looks. It's fairly flexible. This is a very quick sword.

Yes. Traditional Messer Construction. That is assuming you get one that's actually worth having.
