Dual USB Charger Socket for Boat/Rv/Car/Motor-Home (Black)

I installed this plug on my boat. I did not use the faceplate as shown in the picture. Instead, I only used the circular pieces and it works very well. The hole size needed for installation is some unknown foreign reverse metric size, so be prepared to get a file or Dremel out to get this to fit in the hole. I gave this 4 stars because the blue LED light is always on and I see no reason for this. It could eventually drain a battery over a long period of time. Because if this, I installed the plug on a switch. That being said, I still am glad I invested in this plug to keep my tablet and phone charged on the boat.

Two of them plugging along (heh!) in our van for several weeks. Quite handy and out of the way when you mount them properly. You can separate the socket from the faceplate with the cover, if you like. Then it's easy to find a place for it in a dashboard, or panel. The LED is a bit too bright for my taste, but it's easily covered with some tinted epoxy. At night, it will nearly light up the interior of a car and it can be quite distracting, tiring even on a long night drive. Otherwise, a good product.

Nice product for a good price. You can find the same thing cheaper on Ebay from the manufacturer but I would rather work with a company in the US vs saving a dollar or two... **Note, these are bigger than the picture depicts but fit perfectly in the OEM hole for the factory 12 volt socket. Looks OEM.
