Great for toy dogs, we are working on it!
I purchased 2 with hopes of being able to train my 2 new pups to use a box. Being on the 6th floor of a building makes it almost impossible to get them outside at the frequency and speed that they need. I also purchased a large roll of high quality fake grass (and a mini fire hydrant ha ha), which I cut into several pieces to fit the box interiors. Under the removable grid I have a puppy pad, and the grass sits on the top. “The plan” is to wash the grass in cotton laundry sacks and have spares to swap out as needed...we will see how that goes. We are only 3 days into use but so far the setup hasn’t gotten stinky, so we may get a week out of the grass before my first attempt to wash it! Visitors see cute grass patches rather than possibly soiled pads, which is kind of a nice :)The boxes are small, so read the dimensions and know that it takes the small pads. With the side walls it makes it a bit more confined. My puppy is 2.47lbs and this is perfect for him to sniff, do circles and potty to his hearts content. My new 2yr old is 4.7lbs and this box size is JUST enough room for him to take a step or two before he crosses the width. He is a leg lifter, and the side walls are just high enough that 98% of his tinkle stays within. Yes, the fire hydrant is for him! Both have no problems hopping into the box through the cut out in the front.Hands down, this is the best configuration of a box out there for small dogs with short little legs. I just wish it were slightly larger dimensions to give them a bit more room. The price is a bit high for a doggy box, but I am glad I just went with this design as it makes more sense than most everything else I looked at!

Good for female or male dogs!!
Overall, good quality. I like the high sides. I have 2 female pugs and I first trained them to use flat litter-box-grids. Then one started to “P” on the edge (front paws off and rear feet on the grid). It was a mess. I got rid of the flat litter-box-grids and re-trained my pugs to use these high-side litter-box grids. One of my pugs switched easily. The one who “P”d on the edge was afraid to use the new high-side litter-boxes. It took me about a month of encouragement and re-training to get the problem-pug to use these high-side litter boxes. It was worth the effort!! Now, there is no more half in and no “P” on the edge. All the business in IN these high-side litter boxes. I wish I had started with these in the first place. It’s much easier to train a puppy than a 1-year-old dog to use a litter-box. Inserting pads under the grid is simple. If the pads don’t fit perfectly, no problem. Just fold them so they fit under the grid. An exact fit is not necessary.Extra: The design of the litter-box allows for just about any size absorbent pad. If the pad is too large, just fold it under. If the pad is too small, just place it in the middle. The dogs P in the middle of the litter-box.Update: Sometimes my dog's nails get stuck in the grid and that makes them afraid to use this litter box. it would be better if a thin wire mesh was attached on top . i plan to modify the litter boxes i have.

Excellent
They both use the potty. The playpen is always clean now. No more destroyed wee wee pads or using the wee wee pad as a blanket to hide under.

A picture is worth a thousand words
We initially trained our dog to use pads. Then we decided to buy this potty tray to help her sure it up. At first she didn’t get it so we would place her on it when she started to go. Now she gets right on it and takes care of business. All the while she has learned to potty outside too. We bought this gadget when she was about 5 months. So the timing was good for her. It works for her and us.

Helps to corral the dog
I bought 3 of these after trying a grate without the sides. I quickly learned that sides are must, otherwise as the dog turns in circles to fine the "right spot", sometimes her bottom was outside the grate area. The sides has solved this problem. I bought 3 so where ever we are in the house, there is one near. Potty training is going much better now. I have a small 8 lb dog. I think she would like a little bigger space to potty in so 4 stars for limited size choices. After using these for a few months now, I would recommend the company add sides to the low wall areas. Even though the present walls help a lot, there are times when her bottom is hanging over the edge where there isn't a wall and she misses the grate. Yesterday, I turned the non wall side to the wall and placed it in a corner. She will have to jump over the potty walls to get in, but that shouldn't be a problem, they are not that high. I would also recommend they size the pad area to fit pad sizes that are available. I have to cut them to make them fit. Folding them makes them too bulky for the grate to seat properly and allowing the pads to stick up is not only unattractive, but encourages tearing up and playing with the edges. All in all, I really like these, but the engineers could have put more thought into the design.

Must have for male dogs!!!!!
It’s a great product, so I gave it all 5 stars. However, my chihuahua would not step foot on it all day. He restrained from going to the bathroom all day and I had to give in and put his peepad tray down. I wish he would’ve used it, but he’s 6 years old and one stubborn little guy.UPDATE*******I got so fed up with my dog peeing off the peepad tray, I threw mine away and put this one down. It took him a couple of days to get the hang of.. BUT.. he’s finally using it! (Thank goodness!!)

Best Bunny Litterbox Ever!
This is literally a life saver if you have a bunny. I tired way too many different kinds of litter boxes for my buns, and this ticks all of the boxes! It has high sides, isn’t too difficult for heavier/geriatric buns to get into, a plastic (easy on the paws!) grate with a space for a puppy pad underneath. Keeps my older bun from chewing/eating the puppy pads. And they are easy to clean! They are also really nice colors, and they arrived very quickly. Yes they are kind of expensive for a littler box, but I can’t imagine life without the 3 I have.

Great starter potty box
This was a great option for us when we got our Cavalier puppy in the middle of a very cold winter. The sides on the box help to contain her, especially when she's going #2, and the whole unit is super easy to clean. My only complaint is that there isn't one available in a larger size as she seems to be outgrowing this one quickly!

Indoor potty tray
My toy poodle puppy started using it right away, no problems. It is sturdy, easy to clean and high enough on sides so if he raises his leg, pee stays inside. Very happy with it and ordered a second one for second floor. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great for learning puppies
Took my puppy a while to use this and I actually put the pee pad on the top to catch any spills on the side but so much nicer than cleaning up pee pads on the floor all the time.
