Great toddler balancing toy
My toddlers love playing on these. And I love all the different ways you can arrange them. The only thing I wish was different is that you could some how screw them together or make it harder to be taken apart, as my 2 year old likes to pull them apart and separate them.

Perfect indoor activity
Loved these for my grandchild. She has had hours of fun creating paths and balancing on them. I love that they are sturdy enough for my large sized son, as well.

great idea, but not very good quality. Not sturdy, falls apart during play. And the stars are not rubber, but plastic, so they are very slippery. Returned

Easily comes apart.
Great fun product. A little disappointed in how easy the pieces come apart after an adult snaps it all together.

A great indoor activity for kids (and adults!)
This is a great balance beam. It took a bit to get the hang of putting the pieces together, though. The idea is simple enough, but they kept popping apart. It says you can put them together straight, which doesn't mean completely straight of course since the pieces are curved. But if you alternate the direction of each piece you get a long line. You can also make them a circle or anything in between.I thought when I got this that I would put it up for play time and then take it down. But it has been up since the day we got it. Being cooped up at home so much has everyone going a little stir crazy. This is a good way for kids to get energy out and have fun. But it also builds skill. The surface is wavy and also has bumps on it. I kind of expected the colored dots and stars to be a softer rubber material that had some grip, but they are a hard plastic. They are not comfortable to walk on barefoot, and the hard plastic is slippery with socks. We don't wear shoes indoors so everyone just wears socks with rubber grips on the bottom, which works really well. Each segment holds up to 400 pounds, so even as a plus size woman I wasn't afraid to test this out. It is very sturdy. And I'm actually finding that when I'm working on the computer for long periods or sitting doing art, it feels really good to get up and do a few laps on here. It is better than just stretching or walking around because even though it is simple, I can't just do it mindlessly. It gets me out of my head a bit and reconnected to my body. So I like it as much as the kids do.

AS PICTURED
I got a large Amazon box inside of which was the sealed balance beam box inside of which was a plastic bag inside of which was the balance beam set. This meant that I could dump out the contents of the inner box and avoid quarantine, a consideration during pandemic days. Here's what you get:- 8 balance beam pieces- 50 rubber feetHere's what you don't get:- directionsFortunately, it's all easy enough to figure out. Each balance beam piece interlocks with its neighbor, although I did find it stayed more secure if I slammed my hands down on the connection afterwards.Once I got it put together and set up, I immediately set out to test it. (It says up to 400 pounds; I weigh 148.) It handled my adult weight without flinching. I had most of the pieces set up on a rug, with two pieces protruding onto tile. Once I reached them, it was immediately apparent that I needed to put in those rubber feet. So I put 6 rubber feet onto the final beam. I wasn't sure if I'd done it correctly because it looks like they don't go in all the way, but since the part that was protruding beyond the feet's base was consistent on all of them, I figured that was a feature, not a flaw. Also, it was a bit difficult to get the foot into one of these foot “tubes” because the tube was slightly warped, but by inserting it slightly, flipping it, and pressing it into the floor, I got it to look the same as all of the others.PROS:- Easy set up.- Kids will be drawn to it.- Works as intended to promote balance.CONS:- As I walked barefoot over the beams, I wondered what the point of all the little bumps and such was. I realize that my feet are significantly larger than those of the target audience, but it's clear that the bumps are also going to be encountered by smaller feet. The balance beams in and of themselves will provide plenty of balancing opportunities. The bumps didn't feel like they added to the experience; on the contrary, I worried that they would hurt my aging feet. Perhaps they're there to avoid slippage. Perhaps I shouldn't have done this activity barefoot. Who knows.- It is ridiculously easy for the balance beams to spring apart during building. You connect one set, and a link two beams back snaps apart. But once you've got the whole thing built, it stays put.- The product description says one of the options is to build the beam straight, which of course is not possible because each individual beam is curved.- The product page also states that the beams come in four primary colors, which is quite the feat since there are only three primary colors in existence.THE KID SAYS: It's fun. (That was the sum total of her feedback.)BOTTOM LINE: Easy to set up in theory, slightly harder in practice. Fun. Does what it claims to do.

Nice set of balance beams for indoor, screen free play, but could be sturdier
This balance beam set is a solid 3 stars, in my opinion. It’s challenging enough for grade-school kids, but easy enough for toddlers to manage. And even adults can use it! It’s perfect for improving coordination and balance, and even just getting some exercise (adults included). I’m really trying to get my kids away from screens and garner their energy into something productive. The only things that could possibly be improved upon are the sturdiness and slipperiness. The plastic blocks are not weighted, so it’s pretty easy for them to become disconnected or wobble. I’ve noticed this issue with my kids and myself.Another problem is that the plastic pieces don’t have any kind of grips on top. They do underneath, which is nice if placed onto hard flooring, but not when ure wearing socks and trying not to slide off. I think that for the cost, they could be a little more sturdy and easier to stay on. While you can put them into multiple shapes, I’ve found them to be most sturdy when arranged into a circle. But otherwise, this set of balance beams are a terrific way to entertain your kids and getting them moving while indoors. They will really appreciate it during the upcoming cold upcoming cold weather!

Don't even hesitate- buy them!
LITTLE CHUBBY ONE Rocksteady Balance Builder Beam Set is an awesome sensory tool and toy for your school, class, center or home. They're great quality and will stand up to rugged use. The bright colors and different sensory patterns on each block allows kids to be creative and involved in building a balance beam set that is not only fun but great for sensory input. An 8 piece set is totally sufficient but we have been considering another set to extend our patterns and obstacle courses. If your kid is interested in a balance beam - I would definitely start here!
