UVB and UVA Reptile Heat Lamp Bulb for Reptiles, Amphibian and Birds (100 W)

Purchased these so I could switch from using separate bulbs for basking heat and UV in Red-Eared Slider tank. They work well so far, seem to provide about the same or maybe slightly less heat than an equivalent wattage standard incandescent heat bulb.Make sure to read and follow the instructions included with the bulb on the distance the bulb is placed from the basking area. Placing these type of bulbs too close can be harmful to the animal. Due to the high UV output the closest it says to place these bulbs is 12" and potentially further depending on the animal. This will affect the ability to utilize the heating aspect of the bulb. For example if you were previously running a heat lamp at 8" and now have to run this at 12-18" it may be fine for UV but not give a warm enough basking spot.Overall it's a good bulb at cheaper price than the name brands. Just make sure it will work properly in your application regarding providing enough heat when following distance recommendations.

I usually have always used the powersun bulbs on my 13 year old aquatic turtle since they came out. He usually basks under it. Well, I bought this and he hides from it and will not bask. If he does it's on the opposite end of the tank away from the light,which he's never done. I checked the temp and it all seems absolutely perfect but my turtle is telling me something is off. Perhaps the UV rays are stronger? I'm not quite sure but my turtle definitely prefers the powersun mercury vapor bulb.This would be best for desert animals rather than aquatic turtles that need less light. It's a great reliable bulb, but just too powerful for anything that isn't a desert dwelling animal.

I purchased this lightbulb just over 4 weeks ago and the lamp burned out after only 3 weeks. Worst purchase I ever made on Amazon. I then tried returning the lightbulb but had been busy. Broke my leg in an accident so couldn’t immediately get to the return option. I could finally make the return and the return window closed 3 days ago. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This lightbulb should last several months but the return window closes in 4weeks. This lamp is set to fail just before or just after the return window closes. Do not buy this lightbulb!!!!

Perfect light for my 5 turtles! Tested the uvb and its perfect for turtles. I always used 2 bulbs for uv and warmth now with this awsome light it does everything all in one. The 1 year warranty is what will keep me buying these lights for a lifetime. I can tell you with my 15 years experince with reptiles buy this light.

I thought this was a great buy, to have a dual purpose heating /UVB Bulb! Honestly I had no issues until I reached the one month date. A few days after that the Bulb started to act funny (not staying on at times cutting off). I just thought it was the self heating regulator (that shuts it down if it gets to hot for long periods of time). Nope! I have changed the lamp twice, to no avail! I let this bulb cool down over night and it still won't come back on. Amazon gave me 30 days to return, it's now day 39 and my bulb is dead! What am I supposed to do!!! These bulbs cost to much to die so quickly!

This would have been perfect if it didnt blow out in ONE day. I'm incredibly disappointed because my dragon loved having a new uvb and heat light. I got it yesterday and I have been keeping it on for just a few hours at a time because heat lights always make me nervous...so I test them before i get comfortable leaving them on during the day..i went to go turn it back on and it blew... I maybe had 9 total hours of usage all together. It did get the hot spot in the tank up to almost 100 degrees. It would have been a amazing product if I was actually able to use it what I bought it for.

The lizards seem to like them and don’t hide from the light. We have two of them, one on a bearded dragon and one on a veiled chameleon.
