A solid economical little projector for personal use
The media could not be loaded. Overall, I was rather impressed with the performance of this projector, given the low price point (~$160 as of this review) placing it at the entry level of projectors of a similar class. I anticipated using it with my Xbox, and to watch movies outside in good weather, and I was able to do both of those things. After putting the projector through its paces, I found the following:QUALITY OF IMAGE - The photos with this review were taken in what I found to be the "sweet spot" for my conditions (tiny apartment). The images are projected on white painted drywall from about 55" (138cm), mounted to a standard camera tripod, angled as close to perpendicular to the wall as possible. The image was equivalent to a 65" television screen. Getting the projector in the best position is really important, because although there are manual adjustments to focus and vertical keystone, they don't have a lot of play, meaning that a very small adjustment makes a substantial change in the projected image. The lens looks like fairly good glass, which is impressive considering that lenses on higher models cost more than this entire projector. However, at longer viewing distances, even when you focus as best as you can, you are always torn in a balancing act. You can have the center of the image in sharp focus, but the edges will lose a bit of focus. If you correct the focus so that the edges are in focus, the center goes slightly out. This is not so pronounced at a medium distance.Note that the games photos are from an Xbox One X. This projector didn't have a problem except with some smaller text, but watching Netflix was fine. I would use this with the Xbox for causal gaming, but it is great for streaming video. Keep in mind that the native resolution is 1280x720p, but has support for 1920x1080p.SOUND: The internal speaker is pretty good for such a compact projector. The video in this review is using the internal speaker, and was recorded on an iPhone. You can connect a Bluetooth speaker should you want more volume.BRIGHTNESS: On paper, a rating of 500 ANSI (3600 Lumens) doesnt sound like much, but this projector is plenty bright for casual use. I wouldn't say that it would be adequate for a business presentation with ambient lights on, or in a classroom setting. You don't need to make your place a black box to use this projector, but it would benefit from closing the shades. APPS: This is a smart projector, and as such, it can connect to wi-fi and stream. The YouTube app didn't work 100%, but the browser worked fine. I honestly won't be using these apps very often, but it is nice to see they are there. If for some reason all I had was the projector I would be fine.TIPS FOR USE:* I connected a Bluetooth mouse, which made navigating the menus much easier.* You could also connect a Bluetooth keyboard, and make typing even easier.* This projector mounts to a tripod, but you can also mount it to the ceiling and flip the image.* You definitely want to mount this projector, as it is very light and can be moved easily.OVERALL GRADE: B+It would be hard to find a better projector at this price.PROS:+ LED driven (no bulbs to replace, runs cheap)+ 500 ANSI is plenty bright for personal casual use+ Low noise+ Can be mounted, including to camera tripods+ Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled+ Can play media files from USB (up to 32GB)CONS:- Focus and Keystone adjustments are limited and tricky to use- Apps didn't have the best functionality.

Good Value
Decent value for the money, great size, and good quality picture. I was disappointed with there only being 1 hdmi port but happy otherwise.

doesn’t work-but customer service is working on the issues or says they will exchange/refund
We have been frustrated since we received our projector not being able to get any apps to work. It connected to wi-fi and Bluetooth speakers with no issues. Customer support has been working with us now to fix the issues with the apps and to clear out all the bugs we are having. Anne and Ian have been helpful and have assured us that they are working with their engineers to fix these problems and have provided us with a bonus gift for our trouble. I am hoping that the issues will be fixed ASAP so that we are able to be enjoying movies out back soon.UPDATE: this is still NOT working. Not matter how many times their customer service promises it will and gives vague suggestions or instructions. We have had this for nearly 3 months and have YET to successfully watch anything. The bonus gift never arrived even after the second promise of it. Ian is still working on the issue of a refund. Customer services has good communication

Pretty good little projector. Apps built in are really nice.
So this is a pretty good projector. It's only 720p but works well in the Android functions. It's nice to have apps built in. The remote is pretty cool too as it works as an air mouse and you can point the remote to select options. The projector is pretty small so it can be moved around easily or travel. Speakers are ok not the best but no built in projector speakers are ever anything to boost about. They get the job done if you don't have external speakers. Overall I'd say this unit is pretty decent with all it's functions and the built in apps are nice. At first in if the sod wasn't displaying fill screen correctly but there was an update I installed and it fixed the issue.

Great customer support
The picture quality is pretty good once you find the sweet spot. It took some time but I was able optimize the picture quality. More functions come up in the menu one you use HDMI. At first I had sound problems with bluetooth and HDMI and I was extremely frustrated. I solved the problem by running rca cords, then or if the blue the company contacted me with a patch to fix the problem with out any prompting. I felt it prudent to update my review of this product. Great for the price range.

Buy a different model and from elsewhere.
This is a terrible projector. The specs are terrible, the item came without the proper power cable, I haven't been able to receive any assistance from the seller, and when I went to use the projector after finally getting amazon to asist me, the remote didn't work, and there is no sound.

Great entry level projector for our pandemic movie nights
The media could not be loaded. I had been researching projectors to be used for movie nights in the backyard. With the pandemic rules to stay at home as much as possible, it fast tracked my search and thus purchased the Smart Projector by SinoMetics.I was looking for a small, light, and portable projector that still had enough power to give a decent video quality. I wanted it to have 720p as its native resolution, built-in speaker (but have a bluetooth connectivity) and multiple input options.Ive had the projector for about 2 weeks now, and have used it in indoor and outdoor settings. Please keep in mind that I do not have a dedicated projector screen and the intent of the projector was for movie nights in the backyard. As you will see, I had used our awning to show movies.....please ignore the white stripes in the picture and video, those are from my awningThe Good - Projector powers up very quickly and loads the Android home screen in less than 15 seconds - It is running Android 8.0 and thus has access to the google play store and apps - Very easy to use interface to select your video inputs. If you have used an Android device (even a iOS device), you’ll feel right at home - Enough power to generate a screen that is almost 120 inch Diagonally - Built-in speaker is loud enough to use and Bluetooth pairing to a external speaker was quick and easy for better sound - Fan noise was relatively low and not noticeable once a movie started - Standard camera tripod connection on the projector allows you to use various tripods to mount the projector depending on the situation - Included remote works well to navigate the menuThe Do Betters - Projector seems to be a bit out of focus in the outer edges of the screen. For our back yard usage it was ok as we didn’t expect to have 100% crisp video quality. But if you are using for a primary home theatre set-up, it could be a issue - Power cord is short, so depending on where you are using, expect to need a extension cord - Navigation buttons on the projector and remote are not illuminated….so can be hard to navigate in the darkThe SURPRISES! - The projector is basically a Android Box that has a built in projector! - You can install various Android apps ○ Games ○ Paid streaming services (ie Netflix) ○ EtcVerdictI am really impressed by this projector, and it has exceeded my expectations with having a clean and easy to use Android interface. It is literally an android box with a bonus projector built in! I would recommend this projector to anyone that is looking to use it as a casual movie night or show a sporting event on a bigger screen night. Id give the projector 5 / 5 stars for a entry level projector and I would buy this again. The projector has provided us great movie nights under the stars this summer, and I can see that it will bring us many more fun memories in the future!

Nice picture; Good sound; Easy to Use Projector
If you have an Android device then using this projector will be a no-brainer. Basically plug it in, turn it on, focus the screen, connect to your Wifi and you're ready to go.The fan isn't too loud, and the sound quality is surprisingly good. The picture quality is great - you can see it's pretty bright even in a room that's getting still getting some light. There's a little remote control included. But you need to have a couple of AAA batteries on hand (they're not included) to use it. If you have a USB wireless keyboard/mouse, you could use that instead.I'm using this primarily for Netflix and YouTube and Prime Video for the kiddos when they're playing in the basement. You can browse and install many other apps from the app store, as you wish.

Basic projector with added perk of an Android Box inside
On First setup, there were some updates to install - I HIGHLY recommend plugging in a keyboard and mouse. That being said, if you just want to plug in your own device, skip that step. Hit input, Left and the center button and you're on HDMI.Detected fine by Windows 10, It's obvious this isn't a high resolution projector - But it doesn't advertise that. This is fantastic for watching movies on!in fact the main reason I'm writing this review is to show off what I ordered it for: Halloween! We'll be putting a thin mesh on our front porch and I'll be projecting dancing skulls/ghosts "in thin air" with it. I was blown away by how bright this thing was at night. This kind of use is perfect.I'll be running it on a battery/Inverter I made, so I did a power test - This pulls 50 watts while under use. Quite good! Most projectors are over 250 watts, but I think this one is LED powered so its much more efficient.Overall, Great colors, a good resolution for movies, and fantastic for a darker environment. In a perfectly dark room you could easily get a 100+ inch sized screen and have it still be quite good quality. I was shocked at how bright it was, even at 12-15 feet away, on white brick of my fireplace. from 6 feet away it was still legible on a grey, wallpapered wall BESIDE A LAMP.I expected to be a bit disappointed, as I was buying it for a single use for halloween - But I think this would be great for watching movies in the kids bedrooms!

No netflix or mirroring
There is no way after hours and days trying to research how to get Netflix on here. I contacted the manufacturer, I updated the machine and I was told there is no Netflix app supported on this device. I've also wasted countless hours trying to cast off my laptop and iPhone - literally impossible. So I purchased this instead of a TV and now I can only watch Netflix on my laptop. If this projector had Netflix or any other good apps (seems VERY restrictive) and was able to cast easily like a TV, this would easily have been a 5 star rating. I tried to find some streaming apps like I had on my old android box and couldn't find any that would actually load movies. This thing needs a major software overhaul. Software is rated 1/2 star out of 5 stars. Plays Amazon Prime okay so at least I can watch something on it.Website is no longer existing for customer or product support. The software no longer works and it could never use any proper apps.

Good entry level projector
The media could not be loaded. This projector is a good entry level projector that will be suitable for people that don't need to use it very often . There are some improvements that could be made but it's got the basics covered. The first thing you'll want to do is setup the network connection so you can access the Play store and apps like YouTube. I found Kodi to be the most useful app of all that can be installed. It comes preloaded with prime video but not Netflix.Navigating the menu is a breeze with the remote and you can also use the controls on the projector itself. A button on the remote allows you to use the remote as a wireless mouse which operates quite well as well.Out of the box there are definitely a few things I would improve:1. The power cord is far to short. More than likely you will need to use an extension cord which can be inconvenient.2. The projector doesn't come with a stand that allows you to raise the front. I just used a screw and inserted that into the area provided in the front of the projector. Not sure why this wouldn't be provided.3. The screen doesn't seem to want to focus 100%. It's usually just around the edges, not a big deal but should be fixed for future models. All around it's a good entry level projector that provides a decent value for money
