HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a great addition to you DnD games. It helps immerse you into the world you are in. PROS- -Comes with a nice durable tube for traveling and storing -Can use dry erase markers one it. (4 colors with it. Red, Black, Blue, and Green and eraser) -Comes with 4 straighten clips which helps a lot with map trying roll back up without them -A two pack is more than enough for almost any terrain. (No lava zone but you got red marker for that!) -It has a Compass (cardinal directions) but not labeled which is great so you can add it in yourself! CONS -It is a bit bulky storage. Thick cardboard -Straighten clips are only for long sides. The short sides do curl up a bit so had to use props to hold down -Maps are reverse sides. So if you wanted to put 2 maps together you couldnt match forest and beach at same time. Closing Notes Even with those few cons I still give this 5 stars! I have used this on many games so far and plan on continuing to use it as long as I DM. It is plain which gives enough freedom to place props where I want without the background being to setup with making paths that I dont want. The markers are a great addition to these maps to add shore lines on a beach, adding circles for freezing zones, red squiggles to mark a spot for fire walking for your group, or what ever you need. (like I did for my lighthouse One Shot) The only thing that annoys me a little is that the ends that do not have the straighten clips bumps up a bit but even that is not a big deal cause I fill my map with random stuff to add more to the world. Great Item. Well worth the price! If you DM GET THIS!

Overall I'm really pleased with this purchase. The reason I'm giving this four out of five stars is just because I'm a little picky, but let's start with the positives. The mats are pretty big, offering ample space for drawing out encounters, and even if you want more space you can just have another mat prepared. They come with four of these nice plastic strips that you can place on the mat to hold it flat, which is great since they tend to roll up after being in the carrying tube. The quality is nice and it's easy to erase if you do it right away. It also comes with a free dice set. It's pretty basic so I gave it away, but it's still nice. One thing I don't like is that the markers are a little cheap. I understand that it's not the main part of the product, but it's still a little disappointing. If you get these you'll probably want to go out and buy some good quality dry erase markers. You have to shake these ones up after drawing just a few lines with them. The other thing, and this is me being picky, is that some of the mats seem a little too similar in appearance.

I am in love with these maps! If you are wanting a set to get started with dnd or pathfinder, these are the way to go. Not only does it have a tube storage option for space saving purposes, but it also contains these plastic slips that help keep the map flat when in use. These maps have been used several times by both adults and children and have stood the teat of time. They also write on and erase easily with dry erase markers. The square grid is easy to see without being overwhelming on the design. Speaking of the design, it does not look pixelated, it looks like beautiful artwork.

This kit is amazing! It comes with great quality maps that are the perfect size. They are easy to write on and erase. Very durable. Love that it comes with markers, an eraser, support rods, and a set of dice! Great variety of maps and easy to transport. Amazing price for the quality too!

I wish I had bought this sooner. I've been 3D printing terrain and building the environment and maps for each session, which is always well received, but it's a real burden and makes the idea of a casual game a hard sell. With these earsable mats I am able to draw up a map ahead of time and transport it, or hide it before a game. The themed maps also work with the scatter terrain well. Doing huge open field battles have also become a thing since adding these, since it has the 1" grid. I would consider buying more to have maps on hand for quick location changes mid game.
