Well packaged, good weight, hard to pick up
Packaged well and reasonable weight. The handles aren't anywhere near as helpful as expected unfortunately. Pretty impossible to actually grab a hold of. Have to use a spoon to get under the weight and lift it up.

Poor quality. One of mine arrived with a big chip in the handle. 😢
These fermentation weights are ok and a good size but not the best quality. One of mine arrived with a big chip in the handle part. There was no glass in the packaging so it must have been packed like that. This shows poor quality control. This is disappointing. 😢Also, they are difficult to grip to remove them. The handle bit could have been designed better. 🙃

Well made and perfect size for medium size jars

Very useful for fermentation
Very useful ‘pebbles’ for the purpose of keeping fermenting vegetables below the surface of the brine, thus preventing the formation of harmful moulds. The handles make it easy to place snd remove the glass weight.

I got sent the wrong ones
These are nice glass pebbles but not the ones described which had the 'innovative handles'. I contacted the seller and they gave me a discount.

Fit Lakeland 1.4 L jar
Does the job—7 cm wide—don’t know why some other comments criticise these, even down to the packaging, which I find appropriate. They fit into the 1.4 L Lakeland jar and my Kilner square jars and can be removed as stated. Simply popped them on top of a cabbage leaf set on top of jars of Kimchi and Sauerkraut and, hey presto, content held down. As others have said, use 2 if one wants more weight. I accept they aren’t cheap for what they are, but they seem to be well made and WYSIWYG, and they do what they say on the tin, so to speak. I recommend them.
