Helped lighten some dark spots.
This retinol serum from Sienna X has 0.3% pure retinol together with vitamin C from Kakadu plum extracts to target anti aging and with Pentavitin added to the formulation, it can also help moisturise and hydrate your skin. It’s free of Parabens, Gluten, Artificial Fragrance/Colours, GMO, PEGs, SLS, Petroleum and Mineral Oils & Nut Oil. It’s also dermatologically tested, and suitable for Vegans.Retinol can cause more sensitivity to sun, so SPF may be required. It’s also best to use it at night after cleansing and toning. If you are new to using retinol, you might want to start slow and just use two-three times a week, to give time for skin to adjust to the new ingredient, and also to see for any adverse reactions and irritation.I have been incorporating products with retinol and retinoid in my skincare regime since a few years ago, so this retinol serum is fine for me. This serum has a lovely light consistency, absorbed into the skin instantly, the smell is nice and refreshing. After using it for around three weeks now, my face looks smoother, and it also helped lighten some dark spots on my cheek. All in all, a lovely product that works as advertised, but at £36 (at the time of writing), it’s a little bit on the pricey end, and would not be affordable to most. I like this serum and what it does to my skin, so I’m going to continue using it and repurchase when it has run out.Thank you for reading.

Effective but use with caution
Sienna X The Retinol Serum 20mlI've been using this retinol for more than 3 wks. I used it twice a week for the first two weeks. Then I used it every day after that. However, I started feeling that my skin got more sensitive, so I've been using it twice a week again.I could say that it helped my skin texture better by slowly fading hyperpigmentation. Also, I felt that my pores got smaller, less visible.I should warn people with sensitive skin to be more cautious in using retinol such as this, as it may make your skin more sensitive or, worse, burn. I have a combi-type, so I thought my skin could handle it on the 3rd week, but boy, I was wrong. I only used it at night with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and rosehip, or sometimes bakuchiol. And in the morning, I wear sunscreen even at home. However, it could have been better if it had no fragrance or masking agents. Also, the glass pipette is not easy to use. You'll need to pump it more than 2 to 3 times for you to get the right amount of serum you need.Overall, I can't say yet if it will erase my fine lines. But, I find it recommendable for skin hyperpigmentation if you'll use it with caution.

Premium Product Offfering Good Hydration
The key thing to say about this serum (like all others) is that it needs to be used as part of a cleansing, toning and moisturising regime to get the best out of it. It will particularly appeal to those who like a big shot of Retinol in their beauty products as at 0.3% this one goes as far as it is possible to go. It is dispensed using a dropper to allow you to effectively control the amount you use which is just as well for this bottle has only 20 ml pf product whereas I would normally expect 30 ml of a premium serum like this. The immediate benefit concerns the increased radiance and shine on the skin so that it looks and feels better. Over time this may also help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but it seems to me the key thing is that your skin is left hydrated which will help with the skin's future condition and firmness . The packaging very much resembles a spa product and one does feel pampered using it, but still it could be better value if the bottle was slightly more generously sized.

Fabulous but expensive
This product comes in a simple cardboard box with text only on the box no images. The product comes in a frosted colourless glass bottle which holds just 20 ml of serum. It has a push button dropper dispenser which is neat and good at dispensing just the right amount of product. The serum is cloudy and has a subtle creamy aroma. It is rich and has quite an oily texture. When applied the effect is almost instant. I can see my skin looks smoother and fewer lines as visible. There is a slight tingling which makes me feel like it is doing something positive. As this is quite powerful retinol they suggest if you are using other retinol products to use this just once a week. Also, they suggest using an SPF product while using this.I use this at night so that it has a good long time to do its magic. It is cruelty free, mmade in the UK, vegan friendly. It is also 97% natural and FREE of Parabens, Gluten, Artificial Colours, GMO, PEGs, SLS, Petroleum, Mineral Oils and Nut Oil.I love this but it is expensive. Fortunately a little goes quite a long way.

Love this!
Nicely packaged and a little goes a long way with the dropper. Lets you control how much to apply and prevents wasting any product. Although only 20 ml, I think the price is reasonable for the quality of the serum. I already integrate a retinol based product from a more expensive and famous brand in my cleansing routine, and this serum was a pleasant surprise as the quality is almost the same as the dearer one. It applies smoothly, gets absorbed quickly, and doesn't leave a sticky or greasy feeling at all.I love the scent as it's very subtle and disappears quite quickly. Needs to be paired with a high sunscreen even in colder months to prevent burns. My skin is able to withstand this high concentration but I advise to patch test first and to use it sparingly for the first few weeks especially if you have sensitive skin. Retinol can help with hydrating skin and leaving it feeling dewy and healthy so this is great to use in autumn and winter to combat dryness. Would be happy to recommend. If this review helped, please click on the ‘helpful’ button to let others know! Thanks ツ

not good quality, maybe defective
my skin was very irritated after one, very small amount, being used and the beautician at the salon I visit which uses Sienna products says my bottle is either out of date or has been doctored by adding something to it as it should be a white cream and my version is yellow, probably unlucky with a defective batch
