I was a little unsure about this device, but it seems to be OK. The carry case has a nice tight fit to keep it from moving around while transporting. It is extremely easy to set up and get level. I have used it 5 or 6 times already and I'm pleased with how well it works. Once you get it level, it stays level as you rotate on the tripod (Pending you have a good tripod). I have not used it to shoot distance yet, that's something I will have to figure out how to do. We used it mainly while working grade for a new shop building and setting the forms. It is easy and fast to focus when moving from one distance to another. It also has a degree feature that will let you shoot right angles, or any angle. Many devices do not have this feature, so I was pleased to see that it was included on this model.My only complaint is that it is a little hard to see in direct sunlight... we were able to resolve that by putting up a small tent to stand under, which also makes it cooler for the one using the transit.We have double checked with a 4 foot level, but not with another transit. Accuracy seems to be correct.

The worst thing was that I let someone else's review saying the crosshairs are hard to see, influence my expectations. So when I couldn't see the crosshairs I accepted they are hard to see. A few days later I actually thought about it and you have to use both focus knobs to insure that you can see the crosshairs. It works great. Crosshairs are really clear. Really great tool for the price

I only have a tiny complaint about the line up arrow. You will have to pick a point several feet above your shot for the line up arrow to assist you. I haven’t been able to use it to hit my scale before looking through the main sight lense. Other than that it is impressive. I did a peg test straight out the box and it was dead on at 45’ and 15’. A very good buy for the money.

An amazing buy. Very accurate. Very adjustable.The only problem I had was not reading the instructions. It does a lot of things and some adjustments are interactive. Once you read the book and adjust it in the PROPER sequence it is truly amazing for the money.I am using the DeWalt Tripod which is also an unbelievable value. It is really steady and very well built.

I didn't expect too much because of the price. It turns out to be a great piece of equipment. It is very precise. I am using it to level a fence. I was able to shot & mark each post for over 400' and is very accurate and the optics are very good. I do recommend. Very happy with it.

I have used this optical level for 6 months it has been reliable and repeatable. I put in a 125' concrete driveway and used it to make sure the concrete guys set the slope correctly both over the distance and across for proper drainage it worked flawlessly. You will get a great level for a great price.

It did what I needed it to do. For a good price, are there better ones out there, yes

I work in construction so I used it to transfer some levels to the top of some column pads
