Received TWO used boards
The first board I ordered seemed pre-owned. There were scratches on the base of the "ball" on which the board balances, as well as some discoloration marks on the surface of the board. Neither affected the usability, but it seemed odd for a "new" product, and there was a bit of an "ick" factor with someone else's sweaty feet being on the board I was hoping to use. The enclosed card from Day1 Fitness asked to contact them if there was a problem, so I did. They were apologetic and said that Amazon sometimes sent out returned boards. They said I needed to deal with Amazon, and sent me a $5 Amazon gift card for my hassle. Ok, that's fine.I contacted Amazon for an exchange, which was granted. When I got the new board, IT HAD THE SAME ISSUES AS THE FIRST ONE! Scratches on the bottom of the balancing ball and discoloration on the foot part of the board! Again, the functionality isn't affected, but ick.At this point, because the board was inexpensive, I'm giving up and will use it with shoes on, but it seems awfully strange that BOTH boards were used.

Broken Wrist!!! More than a year later, wrist still hurts and there is loss of mobility.
Get plenty of insurance if you plan on buying and using this piece of equipment. I will be returning. I just hope my wrist heals quickly. I went to urgent care to find out if my wrist was broken. It really hurts. I'm just so very sorry I ever tried this disk. It is now almost two weeks since I fell off the disk. My wrist hurts so much, still. They say it's a sprain, but I wonder if it's broken. On 9/23, I went to an orthopedic surgeon and was told my wrist is broken. It's now 10/15, still in cast. Need to wear at least another three weeks. Still hurts, too. I'm a senior citizen and recommend improving your balance by standing on one leg then the other. October 30, still wearing the cast. Cast removed on 11/4. Wrist still hurts. Great loss in mobility and strength. Now doing PT. Doctor said it could hurt for six more months. 12/20 still loss of mobility and strength, even with help of PT. As of 2/8/2021, still some pain and loss of range of motion and strength. As of 11/19/2021, still some pain and loss of mobility.Despite all this, I still recommend this disk if you can eat a sandwich as you're skate boarding down a very steep hill.

It's a balance board
Product just arrived today, looking forward to the benefits I'll gain by incorporating it in my fitness routine. Only issue I have is that I received an obviously used product (there is wear on the bottom of the board) and I didn't receive a used product price. It's a real challenge to balance on this but I can feel the benefit in my hips already. If you're just getting started and having difficulty maintaining balance I recommend putting your arms out in front of you and touching your palms together, then working your way to other arm positions.

No frills, just what it needs to be
It’s a plywood board with grip tape and a plastic half ball mounted to the bottom.Well constructed, sturdy, and a decent price point. I have knee issues and use this daily to build up leg stability and have had great results so far. Still working on basic drills and look forward to more advanced balancing workouts!

Awsome!
Mine just arrived a few minutes ago. I pulled it out and tried it immediately. It's true to holding a decent amount of weight. Also, in only about a minute, I felt the familiar burn in my abs, thighs, calves, and other muscles used in balancing. I had mastered the front to back and side to side one at my physical therapists office, but this one poses a whole new challenge, and I'm really excited to add this to my routine!

Not very wide
There is 17" from my shoulder to the other shoulder. This board is 15+" so I can't stand very wide at all. The small circumference means it's much more difficult to use. I am disappointed (yes) but I will make do and use it somewhat in case I can get more flexibility in my ankles, etc. But it will never suffice for what I need. Unlike other boards, the under mechanism cannot be lowered or changed in any way, which would help compensate for the small diameter. So that's a bummer too. But I guess you get what you pay for and it is a place to start inasmuch as I don't have $100+ to spend on a really good one. At least it is sturdy, and works well in bare feet (not socks).

Great way to work the core
With my gym currently closed, I am looking for ways to keep myself healthy while staying at home. This balance board has become a quick hit in my home. Myself, and my three elementary aged kids, have found it both fun and useful. I've hopped on this a few times a day and each time I can feel it working the muscles in my core. There's some grip to the board so you don't slide off as you're using it. It's an easy way to to get in a quick workout for those key core muscles.

Not for the beginner
I gave it 5 stars because had I not been a senior this would be outstanding balance exercise. The first time I tried it I was standing next to a post. It immediately tried to flip me. The next time I tried now knowing how sensitive it was I was extra careful and used the same post for support. ....just as quickly it spun me off.I'm still giving it 5 stars however, I dont recommend it for the novice. Too bad I didn't have this a few years back. I will gift mine to someone ..

Poor quality - not as expected
I’m so disappointed in this purchase. The board is so rough around the edges and the grip tape is buckling and lifting. I purchased this for a gift but I’m m too embarrassed to give it - I will definitely be returning.

Should Have Purchased Sooner
Box came damaged, but board itself wasn’t affected. I have it on a desk chair mat and it hasn’t left any marks. Works great with my standing desk, allows me to have more energy moving on my feet rather than just standing still. Worth it.

Use it daily!
Lots of fun to practice balance, helps strengthen hips, ankles and abs. You need to go directly to their website for the workout guide, different then the instructions provided in box. Love it

Should it be Harder?
It's a well built balance board, solid and stable and sits in balanced position by default. I suggest a more rounded base to make it more challenging to use. It arrived with a few scratches on it, but no big deal!

Very good, I love it
I love it. Easy to to step on it and have a stable grip. I am 180 lbs and was worried if it would be solid enough. It is . Love it.
