Stokke Tripp Trapp Tray, Black

We've had our Tripp Trappe high chair for 5+ years and it's being used by our 2nd child. We had the original tray which slid over the back of the chair. I was forced to buy this one b/c the original tray snapped when our 60lb dog jumped up on the high chair. We tried gorilla glue and even contacted Stokke about a replacement but alas - they don't make this model anymore. I was super annoyed at having to buy a new tray but once we started using it, I'm glad we got this newer model. Of the complaints I've read in previous reviews, here is my take: - CLEANING: I purchased the white tray. My son has eaten food of every color and texture on this thing and to date, we have no stains. Red pasta leaves a slight "shadow" but I find that if you wash the tray immediately, or at least rinse it, the stains do not linger and are gone after another washing. Also, keep in mind this is a tray primarily FOR FOOD. IT IS GOING TO STAIN. Some other complaints were around food getting stuck underneath the tray in the honeycomb pattern. It can be annoying but again, I find that if I rinse it out as soon my child is done eating, it cuts back on the headache. The honeycomb pattern also makes the tray much sturdier so I appreciate that given how our original tray snapped. - REMOVAL: You have to have the baby set with this in order to attach. Once you figure out how to put it on and can line it up with the baby set seat section, snapping it on takes about 2 seconds. Some complained a lot about removal and I did not have any issues at all. It's a simple release so all you have to do is squeeze the release and pull up on the tray and it's off. Again, once you know how to remove, it's really very simple. - SIZE: The original tray (it was clear and slid over the back of the chair) was bigger than this tray. I thought that would bother me but it's actually been space saving and so much easier to clean in the sink. Since this tray snaps onto the baby set, there is no gap between the tray and seat section (at the waist) so food is not falling through the gap onto my son's lap. I was annoyed that the white version was $10 more than the black or gray but such is supply & demand. I would recommend this tray and have not regretted buying it since we started using it. I'm now just trying to make the dog understand that he owes me $60 for breaking the other tray.

I originally tried a different off brand tray because it had good reviews, worked with suction plates, and was half the cost. Unfortunately, this seems to be a case of you get what you pay for- that tray felt flimsy and cheap, and the latch that holds it to the chair broke after a few uses. We have since purchased this tray, which is very sturdy, attaches and detaches easily, and wipes clean beautifully. While it is unfortunate that suction dishes don’t stick to this, that’s not a deal breaker for me. I can pull the Stokke right up to our dining table and stick suction plates to that, and I just put food directly on the tray when I have my baby in the kitchen with me and not at the table.

Bought this attachment to finish the setup for our Stokke high chair. And must say it finish the look and brings all the functionalities that a high chair needs. Tray is Quick and Easy to install/uninstall, which makes it easier when you need to clean, as you just remove the entire thing. Very stable when installed and the click release function makes it sturdy and makes it not move out of place. Love the idea that this Stokke high chair makes the child grow with it. Great product and would highly recommend.

Wasn’t sure if I’d need the tray but it certainly made feeding easier! Easy to wash and very durable. Used for almost a year and looks brand new.

Although the stokke highchair and all associated parts feel very overpriced and expensive, we are very satisfied and dont regret buying it. At first we didnt buy the tray but our butcher block wood table was such a pain to clean after our baby would mush her food into it at every meal. The stokke tray is very easy to clean and gives the baby her own area to make a mess. At first I had a difficult time getting the tray off the highchair but after my husband went over it with me a couple of times I got it. The tray does fit very securely on and once you understand where to press with your finger underneath the tray to lift it off it is quite easy. So clean up is much better now popping the tray off and cleaning it off in the sink. The great thing abou the high chair and all the parts you ended buying with it, it is quite comfortable for the baby and she is at our level at the table.

It’s authentic works great with my Tripp trapp. Thick and sturdy plastic. Overpriced but what can you do. A slight learning curve to remove it there is a weird little button thing underneath so it stays true to stokkes non user friendly approach to everything but still good quality.

We had to replace the first one. Perfect fit.

Tray works great with stokke high chair, easy to clean

Habe lange überlegt ob ich das organisierte bestelle, da der Preis doch sehr hoch ist. Ich muss sagen, das ich froh bin mich für dieses Produkt entschieden zu haben. Kein abfähren von bestimmten Lebensmittel ( beim nicht originalen Stokke ist das weiß nicht mehr weiß). Sehr stabil und gut einzubauen. Sehr gutes Produkt. 4 Sterne, da der Preis schon sehr hoch ist.

It's too bad that this tray is an add on item because it is a necessity when first using the Stokke Tripp Trapp chair. I mean the chair itself can be used on a dining table but when babies first start solids, it's nice that they have a table to help themselves. It's great quality, this tray. You can load food directly onto the tray and let them eat off the tray and then just clean it off with water or a clean rag and it will clean right off. The material is great and mine still looks new after years of using. It's worth the price.

A tray is not strictly necessary with a Stokke Tripp Trapp, which is designed to come right up to the family dining table. However, we found that our dining table was too high for the Tripp Trapp and uncomfortable for our baby. So, we had to order the tray. It’s sturdy, of a decent size and clicks into place easily. I’m not sure why they have a complicated design at the bottom - it’s just more crevices for food to get stuck in. But since it’s the bottom that doesn’t really happen much. Otherwise, it’s easy to clean. But yes, this product is extremely expensive for being a simple piece of plastic which ‘fits’!
