Nordic Ware Snowflake Pancake Pan

What a great idea! No need to try and fit 3 or 4 pancakes on a rounded frying pan (then have the batter run together) -- just use the silver dollar pancake pan.For batter, I use a pancake mix, substituting milk, apple juice, and/or soy milk for the water, adding apple sauce, sometimes cinnamon. The pan works for liquid batters and thicker batters alike.It's easy:-Turn the stove on to medium-high, and wait a little for it to heat up.-Put a bit of butter in each slot.-Pour the dough into those rounded spaces. The instructions say a tablespoon of batter, and that works great (a little more if you are using a slightly larger spoon will be fine).-Optional add ingredients like berries, apples, peaches, nuts, chocolate chips, etc.-Wait until it bubbles.-Use a rubber spatula (one that won't melt) to flip the pancakes (a stiff flat spatular will not fit inside the circles).-Flip in the order you poured, often by the time you've filled each circle the first will be ready or close to ready to flip.Voila -- perfect pancakes.-Optional: put in more butter and start a second batch.The pan is really easy to clean (hand wash). I normally don't like things like cupcake pans because washing is difficult, but this pan is still flat enough it's really no harder than cleaning a frying pan. It's fairly light, too. It is non-stick, making it easier to cook with and to clean.I've used my pancake pan every time for pancakes since I bought it 10 months ago. I originally got the idea from a physical goods store, but as is often true, Amazon had a better price. The pan has held up and had no problems, and it makes the cutest round pancakes, earning it a glowing 5-stars.Update September '16:I use this pan a couple times a month and it's still one of my favorite kitchen devices. Love it.

This pancake pan is excellent, it is extremely light weight, which is a plus for me, I don't like pans that are heavy, I don't really love to spend time in the kitchen, so buying stuff that help me prepare meals quicker and efficiently is important. I made protein pancakes the same day because I wanted to try it right away. The size of the pan is perfect, the size of the pancakes are about 2 3/4" in diameter, maybe 3". This is great for portion control, I went ahead and made my egg whites as well in the pan after I cooked the pancakes and it was quick and best of all it helps with portion control. Please note the bottom of the pan is not flat and I thought this was not going to let the pan heat completely all around it, but this wasn't the case, all pancakes cooked well at the same time. It is a non-stick pan, and I used a butter spray before cooking and my pancakes were easy to flip even without a spatula. Now I want to make pancakes everyday. It is also very easy to clean, I don't have a dish washer, I washed it by hand in a couple of seconds.

This is quite sturdy n very good quality material. The only reason it didn’t get a 5 star is because it’s a bit challenging to flip to the other side. It also gets the smiley faces on there really well. It’s super cool!

I used this many time for my kids making pancakes. Every morning they are so excited to make their own breakfast.

Everyone loves the smiles. Follow instructions and leave one space open to flip into.

After figuring out the flip in the first batch, recommend the following: 1) sprayed a blotch of oil and used a silicone brush to evenly distribute the oil; 2) Filled batter to the top of the mold as a thicker pancake is easier to flip; 3) Wait for the batter to get a little brown at the edges which means it is stiffer and easier to flip; and 4) Used a small silicone spatula to flip. After doing that, the profiles of the zoo friends were perfect on both sides of the pancake.

Kids love them. You have to be careful to not scratch it. Seems to get scratched quite easily

Es un bonito comal para preparar pancakes ideal para un detalle, las figuras son muy lindas, sin embargo el tamaño de cada pancake es muy pequeño, es fácil de usar y de limpiar. La calidad del comal es buena.

Produit fait pour durer, mais ne fonctionne pas sur ma plaque à induction....

This is an excellent pan. Lighter than I expected (thankfully). Watched a really helpful Nordic Ware You Tube video for tips on how to use (leave one hole empty for ease of flipping). After a bit of practice, the shapes are really clear. Love it! Looking forward to using it on Xmas morning 🎄.
