is the box cardboard a plastic one please,

mine came in the standard black zippo labeled cardboard box

Hi seller, i found you have 2 different pics for this lighter. one shows it is jim beam, and another shows it is jack daniel's. which is correct?

This listing is for the Jim Beam.

Are these good for cigars or would a torch be better?

I wouldn't recommend lighter fluid over butane or a match for cigars, but it will light it.

What number is under the light please as im looking for one that has a 13 under it

It has a "A" "16". The number "13" would be the corresponding year that it is manufactured. The letter "A" represents the month. "A" stands for January, and "B" would be February, and so on. They all have different markings generally speaking.
