Does what it's supposed to. Im using this in my 2014 Jeep Patriot, to house my touchscreen head unit. It fits my dash perfectly, but on the left and right sides, if looking at an angle, and there's enough light in the vehicle, you can see between the adapter and the head unit. This is due to the face of the unit being quite thin and the face being curved. I've never had anyone point it out to me, but I do tend to notice it. I think this is probably common for this vehicle, because I have seen other brands for this vehicle and they have the same issue. If the opening for the face of the radio had just a little lip around the inside... maybe 1/8", it would be perfect.

Used this to install a JVC KW-HDR81BT in my Saturn L200 (2001). Note that this actually contains 3 separate plastic pieces - 2 side panels with the side mount holes, and a separate face plate that connects to the side panels in a tabbed slot to hold it in a particular height relative to the side plates. You have to put the faceplate between the side panels before you screw the side panels to the unit. The holes on the side panel did not align with the JVC unit, but it was firm enough with just one set of top screws. Additionally, the face plate did not align with the JVC edges - I got around this by cutting away the tabs on the panel grips that forced it to be connected to the side panels only at a particular height and letting it slide higher up the slots. I suppose I should thank the cheap plastic for allowing me to easily break off the tabs. I suspect the plastic will break if you tighten the screw too much. In the end, it could get the job done, but don't expect quality/durability.

Fits perfect in my 05 Ion. Had another brand in my 99 SL1 and it was horrible. It was flimsy and the 6.2 inch screen wouldn’t fit properly. This one is 1000 times better.

Like every stereo other dash kit I've installed in the past, had to be modified to fit a 7" noname "Eincar" android head unit. I removed the top, left & right lips/tabs with a dremel tool from the inside of plastic bezel that way you cannot see any cuts, modification. When installed, there are ZERO indications of the slight modification required specifically for my stereo. This is not Metra's fault., it's expected.I'm giving it 4 stars because It didn't come with any screws and the screws that came out of the old unit were too short. The old screws are the right size, but too short. Still gotta find my own to secure this unit.

Fits my 2005 saturn ion perfectly. Looks great and works as it should would reccomend 10/10My only complaint is the lack of screws.

The connection points on the side cover the screw holes so it's a bit of a pain to screw in but once installed, holds very firm.***EDIT*** Almost a year later and it it still firmly in place and in great condition. This will easily last the life of the car.

This worked perfectly to install a Pioneer AVH 291BT double din radio in my 2005 Saturn Vue.Mounts cleanly in the dash and looks like a factory fit.
