Artistic and functional for a good price
We have three fans in the house, an Artemis, this Wave and a Westinghouse Solana. I would rate the Solana very low on the scale even though its only 50-60 dollars less than the Wave. There is just no comparison between the Wave and the Solana, in every category noise, looks, design, craftsmanship, etc except for lighting which the Wave lacks. I originally got the Solana for the master, but it was too loud and the air flow was too weak. Apart from the lower air flow which is understandable for its size and blade count, the fan is noisy with high levels of blade noise and motor whine. I decided to gamble again on the Wave. It's very similar to the Artemis fan, which we also recently bought and installed so I have a very high bar to compare the Wave against. Oh btw, the Minka Aire included remotes are fairly thin and modern looking. It wouldn't look out of place on the table. The remote on the Westinghouse on the other hand looks like something you'd find from the 80's. It's these little things that are not important but they add to the value imo.The wave is just as well made as the Artemis which costs over two times more, but it lacks features such as no light, no auto reverse on the motor. However it more than makes up for that with its price, looks, and high level of performance. It moves a lot of air and all around is very quiet. At high setting the wind noise is audible but it's not annoying, more like a low hum underneath the fan blade noise. I suppose it is hard to separate the two when the all the air moving around you is moving very well. The Artemis on the other hand is barely noticeable. I would rate the Artemis a 10 easily and the Wave as an 8. When we consider the price difference, the Wave is a winner. You get most of the qualities of the Artemis at little more than a third the cost.

Favorite, Classy Fan!
This 52" ceiling fan is by far our favorite of all the fans in the house. It moves a lot of air and is well made at a reasonable price. The most important thing to us in a fan is ease in installation, and quiet operation once it is installed. This fan surpassed our expectations! It is wonderfully quiet, and moves air like no other. We also love the fact that there is a remote control for this fan and we use it frequently. It has three speeds and operates quietly on all three. It has a beautiful Koa like wood design and looks classy in the living room. It does not come with a downrod or light installation kit, but we love the design so much and we prefer lamp lighting in a living room any way. We have been using this fan daily for two months and it is as quiet today as the first day we installed it.We would highly recommend this fan and are considering getting another!

Great fan! Well worth the money!
High quality and beautiful fan. Moves a LOT of air. I replaced a 48" 5-blade fan with this one and what a difference! Also, no wobbles and runs very quietly. This fan was easy to install though it took a few extra minutes to attach the fan blades. If replacing an existing fan, check the mounting bracket against the new one (I didn't and the new fan wouldn't fit the old bracket). The Minka bracket is slightly larger. I also found that Inserting the remote unit BEFORE wiring makes it much easier to attach the canopy without fumbling with the wires. This fan is nicely designed and the Koa finish is great! The blades are trimmed with a tiny line of black which provides more definition and allows you to color in any chipping which may occur while attaching the blades. I would definitely recommend this fan to anyone who is considering purchasing a reasonably priced work of ceiling art.

LOVE This Fan!
Received when expected, received as expected. I'm a repeat buyer; this is my second one. The first one is white and is installed in my enclosed porch. This one is the wood finish and is installed in my cathedral ceiling fireplace room. These fans are easy to assemble and install. These fans are stable, quiet and move ALOT of air! I choose not to install the remotes because I like the wall controls that are already here (these run fine off a universal 3 speed wall control, they were not compatible with the Hunter wall controls that were here, but those were for 4 speed fans). The remote on the first fan was defective but was replaced by the Seller. I would purchase this product again.

A beautiful disaster
The fan is gorgeous, it really is, but my god it’s the worst ceiling fan I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t know what’s worse, the very loud THUNK when you turn it on, or the loud HUMMMMMMMMM which provides a nice sort of airplane engine background sound to your life or the Morse code it taps away while running. Not an install issue, we’ve installed dozens of fans over the years, not the capacitor issue everyone seems to also have issues with. This is 100% 1) bad motor windings and 2) extremely poor QA on mounting parts and design. It’s a shame bc it really is a pretty fan but in no world would I ever be able to use this fan even if it were free or you paid me.

Works great, unique look.
I almost didn't purchase this fan because of some of the most recent reviews. People had a lot of negative things to say. That being said, I'm very glad I purchased it. The fan is nearly silent. I heard none of the noise that other people mentioned in their reviews. I do agree that it is a bit misleading that it says it's made of wood but it's actually some type of resin. Actually, resin is fine, it'll last longer but you just have to be careful when installing it so you do not scratch it . It's a good looking fan and brings some style to my room. It moves a lot of air. In fact,it moves more air than the larger fan I had in this room previously. It took me about 7 minutes to install it. Considering the price and availability, this is a great buy.
