The parts in the set aren't the best quality but for a quick job they'll do. There are 2 screwdrivers. One is a 3 point and the other is a Philips. The 3 point is for the outside of the control and the philips for the inside screws. Only the inside screws were magnetic which was nice because the screwdrivers have magnetic tips and that helped tremendously. I didn't pay attention and ended up stripping one of the screws. So be careful.I would highly recommend watching a how to video before you attempt this and have your work area extremely bright and well lit.The internal components are tiny and one of the joy cons I installed was much worse than mine. Thankfully the second one did work. I only needed to replace one so it wasn't a big deal to me.After you've installed the new one be sure to calibrate it in your switch's settings.The kit is great if you have the patience to fix things. You may get a defective joy con, as I have read many did.The add on of grips was a nice touch.

I thought I'd take a chance on this product based on the price and the reviews. My original left Switch controller joystick was not consistently returning to origin/center and the price for repairing myself vs. purchasing a new set of controllers was appealing. I've used the controller about 4 times (approx 5 hrs of game play) since I replaced the joystick and it is working great. I can't speak for longer use durability but the joystick is working as it should.Installing this product was a little tricky but not too bad overall. I'd suggest doing a YouTube search just to be aware of what screws and electronic ribbon to disconnect. The two included screwdrivers worked fine for me but I would suggest having a pair of tweezers to help disconnect and reconnect the electronic ribbon connecting the various internal parts. Just as a note, each of the ribbon connectors has a flip lever style connection. You will flip up the lever to loosen the ribbon's connection and then flip it back down to tighten the ribbon when connecting all the parts back together. I wasn't aware of this when I was disconnecting parts and simply pulled them out. Fortunately, I didn't damage anything by doing that.Overall, it was fairly easy to install this product myself and it is working as intended.

Took about 20 mins and a YouTube video to pull the joycon apart and swap out the part, but overall everything worked out. Only thing I noticed is the ribbon cable length it a mm or two too long, so has a little bump to it when it's installed (yes I raised the clips on the headers ) but still works and goes back together no issue. Screwdrivers are cheap quality but worked for the two Joy cons, but had some metal fibers in the tip even when trying to be careful not to strip it. So if you have a little monster that like to break your controllers, this will make them work well again. Hospe the durability on the parts are good, but the feel of the stick feels like stock.

I never leave reviews on products but after receiving these, frustration got the better of me. I'll start off by saying the kit works great. The screwdrivers and disassembly isnt terribly difficult, just delicate. My joycons had terrible drift after me and my girlfriends constant use of our new switch. The right stick I replaced and it still works great, but the left stick I replaced and I immediately had issues but thought nothing of it. The L3/anolog click would not register, but a quick controller remap quickly fixed that. Not but a few days later the stick goes out, not drift, no issues, just would not register movement or anything. After another disassembly to no avail the stick is shot after only a few days of use. So now I'm forced to use my old drifty stick until another comes in. I understand sometimes technological issues arise but doesnt make it less frustrating. The kit itself is great. But maybe dont full trust that these will last. Have one that still works but honestly thinking about being preemptive and just replacing that one before it goes out on me too. Giving it 3 stars only because the kit will be useful for these and any future joycons. If it was just based on the analogs I'm teetering between a 1 and 2 just because one still works, once that one goes out which I'm feeling fairly certain it's only a matter of time I'd easily give it a 1...

The replacement joycon joystick was incredibly easy to install. Using the tools they included, I was able to easily open up the joycon and remove the battery and housing. It took me maybe 5 minutes to get it open and broken down for repair. The installation of the new joystick module was simple, and if I had purchased the set that had the angled tweezers I imagine it would have been even easier. Everything worked perfectly after I set the controller back up.The only downside was that the tri-wing screwdriver that was provided was a little on the crappy side. It didn't quite fit the screw heads (perhaps it was a manufacturing defect) and stripped two of the tri-wing screws, so if I have to do the repair again I'll have to be very careful when removing them and I'll likely need to replace them.

Absolutely worthless, unless you are ready to completely take your controller apart and break it. Don’t buy this. That is exactly what happened to me. Now I have to buy a new joycon.

These joysticks are pretty easy to install and completely fix the joystick drift issue that plauges these joycons. The only drawback is that the screwdrivers that are included aren't the greatest quality and get messed up pretty quickly.

Nope... this product didn’t not work. My analog stick still drifted not a bad but the issue was still present. I tried both replacements before writing this review and after the second attempt I had to write. I have four left analog’s that need replacement. We wanted to test the waters with this and it was a no go. If you do purchase; I highly recommend looking for a how to video on YouTube as this did not come with instructions.

I was skeptical at first but it worked really well! Joy con drift is fixed. Got it on sale too. Would get it again if my other pair breaks.

1 of the analog sticks stopped working after 1 or so week of use. I suspect the other one would fail eventually as well. Would not recommend
