The book has some good contents. However, there are some mistakes in spelling for non-English names of dishes and weird translation of city names on the map. Some recipes and pictures don't of reflect the authentic way of cooking. The book is okay if you want a general understanding of the concept.

Perfect international cuisine book!
If you are in culinary school, or just interested in learning about the world of international cuisine, this is the perfect book. Well written, interesting to read, history and cultural information, and useful recipes. Love it!

Great Book for Anyone Interested in International Cuisine!
This book is a required text for one of my husband's classes in culinary school. It really is an excellent source for any student, chef, or foodie who wants to know more about International Cuisine. I was surprised to see a section dedicated to African food, since it's not something we see/hear/talk about in the States. I recommend getting this book used, because it comes with a hefty price tag brand new.

I use this for my international cuisine class at Richland community college in Decatur, Illinois. but the book on its own is great, easy to follow recipes, use it at home also. I would recommend this out side of class.

Great for people interested in international cooking
During my culinary school International was my favorite this book was full of great recipes and facts about the countries.
